The foundation of Supply Chain Action Network™ (SCAN) is a true multi-company business model.

Unlike older supply chain management software, the SCAN™ architecture and business model were designed to fully leverage the Internet as a multi-company communications network.

There are two main sections to our business model: Parties and Products.

The OEM, CEM, Component Distributor and Component Manufacturer are the 'parties' in the electronics demo supply chain. Parties can have multiple locations and multiple departments.

The Mother Boards, Computers and Purchased PC Components are the 'Product Families' that we used in the electronics demo. Product Families are groupings of products that share a similar manufacturing and distribution process.
